The Global Market Brief combines automated tools with human editorial oversight. Our system monitors established news outlets and official data sources for developments that affect the prices, rates and bills American households pay. Draft articles are generated from that monitoring. Each draft is checked automatically against its cited sources and then reviewed by a human editor. Nothing is published without that review.
Sourcing Standards
We draw from established news outlets and official data sources such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Energy Information Administration and the Federal Reserve. Every article names its sources with their dates and links to them, so readers can verify the information and read further.
Impartiality
We aim for neutral, fact-based reporting. We explain who pays the cost of an event, but we do not take sides, blame leaders or parties, or call for policies. Opinions and forecasts are attributed to their source and are not presented as our own views.
Examples and Calculations
When we show a calculation, it is built from figures in the source and we say so. Any hypothetical example is labeled as an illustration, not a forecast and not a figure reported by the source.
